This is honey and oats face wash for everyday use. If your raw unfiltered Honey is grainy, you can use raw honey on its own for everyday washing and gentle exfoliation. Honey is a natural humectant, so expect skin that’s soft and moisturized!
The links below will take you to the resources from where I buy these ingredients. These companies do not sponsor me. The only reason I endorse these products is because I have found them to be the best, based on my research. If you find better and/or cheaper ingredients elsewhere, I would love to hear about it. - Oats – 1 part
- Use: It moisturizes the skin since it is a natural humectant. It also prevents acne since it is antibacterial.
- Use: Acts as a gentle exfoliant that can be used every day.
Grind oats until it is ground into a powder-like consistency but slightly grainy for mild exfoliation. I used steel cut oats that I had at home and had to use a sieve to get the desired consistency. Mix 2 parts of honey to 1 part of ground oatmeal. Store in an airtight container as moisture can spoil this mixture.
Wet your face. Wash and dry your hands. Take out a dollop of the mixture and spread it on your face. Massage your face in circular motion for few minutes or you may choose to let it stay on your face for 10-15 minutes. Wash your face with warm water and then cold water. Pat dry.
