Hair Fall Treatment & Tips

Here are my treatment and tips for treating hair fall. I’ve had heavy hair fall since 3 years, and finally, after using this treatment for around 3 months, my hair fall has reduced significantly. I hope this works for you as well. Also, go through the tips below to take good care of your locks.

Ingredients:

    • Coconut Hair Oil – 1 cup
                 Benefits: Conditions hair and scalp, strengthens hair and helps with hair regrowth.
    • Curry Leaves – 3 to 4 sprigs
                  Benefits: Prevents premature graying and stimulates hair growth.
    • Apricot Kernel Oil – 1/3rd of coconut oil per application
                  Benefits: Moisturizes the roots and strands and stimulates the follicles.
    • Rosemary Oil – 3 drops per application
                 Benefits: Lowers DHT (dihyroxytestosterone) thereby improving hair growth.
    • Coconut Hair Oil – 1 cup
                 Benefits: Conditions hair and scalp, strengthens hair and helps with hair regrowth.
    • Eucalyptus Essential Oil – 2 drops per application
                 Benefits: Conditions hair and scalp, strengthens hair and helps with hair regrowth.

Recipe:

Collect the leaves from the sprigs. Wash and dry the leaves. Heat the coconut oil and put it in the jar to be kept aside for your hair treatment. Add the leaves to the coconut oil and make sure the leaves are submerged in the oil completely. There is a danger of the leaves and oil getting bad if the leaves are not completely submerged. If you live in a cold climate where the oil becomes solidified, you might need to heat the oil along with the dried leaves before pouring it back in the jar.

Directions:

Every time you need to treat your hair, take out the required amount of coconut oil and heat it just so that it is lukewarm. Add one-third of apricot kernel oil to it. Add 3 drops of Rosemary Essential oil and 2 drops of Eucalyptus essential oil to the mixture. Lightly massage your scalp with this oil and also apply along the length of your hair. Keep it overnight before shampooing your hair.

Tips:

        • Make sure your hair fall is not due to any medical conditions, nutritional deficiencies or stress.
        • Biotin supplements help to control hair fall. But as with every over the counter supplement, I err on the side of caution. I prefer to get nutrition from food sources instead of using supplements.
        • Make sure to wash your hair before they get oily. Once your hair become oily, more your hair tend to fall. I wash my hair twice a week.
        • Make sure to keep your head clean. If you sweat a lot, you may need to wash your head more often as sweating can lead to hair fall.
        • Use safer and natural products on your hair.
